Dr. Judith Woodsworth was installed as President and Vice-Chancellor of Concordia University during the 10:00 a.m. convocation ceremony for the Faculties of Fine Arts and Engineering and Computer Science on November 17, 2008, in Salle Wilfrid Pelletier at Place des Arts.
There was no installation for Mr. Michael Di Grappa as he was Acting President and then President for an interim period.
Dr. Claude Lajeunesse was installed as President on October 21, 2005 in the Chapel of the Grey Nuns of Montreal Motherhouse.
Dr. Frederick Lowy was installed as Rector on November 24, 1995 at 9:30 a.m. in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, Place des Arts as part of fall convocation.
(Note: the position title was changed to President in 2004.)
 
There was no installation for Dr. Charles Bertrand as he was Interim Rector.
   
Dr. Patrick Kenniff was installed as Rector on September 23, 1984 at 2 p.m. in Théâtre Maisonneuve, Place des Arts. The installation was done at a special non-convocation Installation Ceremony held in conjunction with the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of the merger that were held during the fall of 1984.
   

Dr. John W. O’Brien was installed as Principal of Sir George Williams University on November 21, 1969 at 2:30 p.m. in Théâtre Maisonneuve, Place des Arts. He became the first Rector of Concordia University at the time of the merger in August 1974.

 
David O'Brien was installed as Chancellor as part of spring convocation of the Faculty of Arts and Science on June 12, 2006 at Place des Arts.
Eric Molson was installed as Chancellor on November 9, 1993 at 2 p.m. in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, Place des Arts as part of fall convocation.
 

No installation was held for Jeanne Sauvé due to ill health.

 

Alan B. Gold was installed as Chancellor on June 12, 1987 at 10 a.m. in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, Place des Arts as part of spring convocation of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.

   

Earle W. McLaughlin was installed as Chancellor on June 9, 1982 at 2:30 p.m. in the Loyola hockey rink as part of spring convocation of the Faculty of Commerce and Administration.

 

Harry J. Hemens was installed as Chancellor of Sir George Williams University on June 16, 1974 at 2:30 p.m. in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, Place des Arts as part of spring convocation for Arts and Fine Arts. He became the first Chancellor of Concordia University at the time of the merger in August 1974.
